Let’s start with the destination that tends to be the most coveted in summer: the sea.

Many canine breeds love to swim and if your four-legged friend is one of them, the sea could be a refreshing and fun alternative! There are plenty of public beaches where dogs and other animals are welcome. In some you can even find bins and bags to collect their poops.

If you have chosen the sea, this is a small list of dog-friendly beaches for you and your friend:

1. La Spiaggia di Snoopy in Friuli Venezia Giulia, which offers many services for your dog. Located in the province of Gorizia, in Grado, the beach is equipped with showers especially for dogs next to those for their owners. The pet friendly oasis is also provided with a fenced recreation area with qualified staff ready to help you at any time. It has around 100 seats and we strongly recommend booking in advance. 2. Bagno 81 No Problem in Emilia Romagna. If instead you prefer the Romagna coast, this Rimini beach is for you; a dog beach with more than 150 umbrellas, of which more than 90 are fenced and where you can relax quietly with your dog; the bagno is open to dogs of all sizes and breeds. Your dog will have a lounger just for him or her and also the chance to cool off with a delicious mango and chicken ice cream! And your dog can play free in the two games areas present in the seaside establishment. 5. Soleluna Lido Bau Beach in Puglia. If you prefer the South in San Cataldo (Lecce) you will find everything you are looking for for you and your furry friend. This beach really knows how to treat our friends. In fact, it has: a reserved area, bowls, food, veterinarian and even aesthetic treatments for your dog! 1. La Majón Dé Fohtèn in Valle d’Aosta is an establishment where you can enjoy a relaxing week with your four-legged friend. It is better that you avoid going on excursions that are particularly exhausting for your dog, especially in the hottest hours, where you can actually take him for a regenerating bath in the nearby streams.
